> WHO_AM_I

I am DeWayne Bush — a technical product leader, IT consultant, and lifelong entrepreneur with over 15 years of enterprise experience at the intersection of product strategy and Agile execution. Based in Fort Worth, TX, I have spent my career working every angle of the software development lifecycle — from managing customer relationships and capturing business requirements on the client-facing side, to translating those requirements into actionable specifications, to leading the teams that built and shipped the final product.

That full-cycle perspective is rare. Most people in tech have lived on one side of the fence. I have worked both — understanding what customers actually need, writing the requirements that define it precisely, and then driving the implementation through to delivery. Through Vintage64TX, I bring that same discipline directly to solopreneurs and small businesses across the DFW Metroplex and beyond. I know what it takes to run a business because I have done it. I know what technology should cost you because I have watched organizations waste millions on complexity that serves vendors, not owners.

The Vintage64TX difference: You're not hiring a kid with a toolkit. You're hiring a certified product manager who has captured customer requirements, written the specs, led the development teams, and shipped the product — and who has also been a retailer, a realtor, and a consultant. Someone who understands the technology, the business, and the customer it all has to serve.

Selected engagements where enterprise-scale decisions produced measurable outcomes.

Lead Technical Product Manager / Scrum Master Global GDS & Airline Technology Sector

Leading cross-functional research and documentation of legacy TPF mainframe code in preparation for cloud-native modernization. Bridging the gap between obscure assembly logic and future AWS/GCP architecture — translating tribal knowledge into structured technical specifications that will survive the people who originally built the system.

Principal Product Owner / Business Analyst Global Airline & eCommerce Technology

Led product strategy for a global self-service airport check-in suite (Web, Kiosk, Mobile). Rebuilt the Web Check-in product from the ground up — resulting in a 100% increase in operational efficiency as measured by customer feedback. Designed and launched premium seat sales during check-in, growing one airline's monthly ancillary revenue from $11K to $48K in two months. Introduced ancillary sales into self-service check-in — an industry first for the platform.

Senior Product Owner Private Aviation Technology

Managed two Scrum teams building complex flight scheduling software for the private aviation sector. Owned roadmap alignment across product owners to ensure seamless integrations across the full software suite.

Sr. Business Analyst Major U.S. Commercial Airline

Supported a critical mainframe backend migration to AWS Cloud for an Air Cargo UI modernization initiative. Operated within SAFe Agile, collaborating directly with business leadership to shape the product roadmap.

Customer-Facing Product Manager / Business Requirements Lead Enterprise Airline Technology — Customer Success & Implementation

Managed direct relationships with airline customers as the product and requirements liaison — bridging the gap between what clients needed operationally and what the development teams could build. Authored comprehensive business requirements, functional specifications, and user documentation that served as the blueprint for implementation teams. Onboarded multiple enterprise customers onto complex product suites, translating real-world operational workflows into structured technical deliverables. This customer-first vantage point — before moving to the development and product ownership side — forms the foundation of how Vintage64TX approaches every engagement: understand the business first, then build the solution.

Additional experience spans Technical Product Management, Senior Business Analysis, and consulting roles across airline, health insurance, and eCommerce sectors. Prior career includes Product Marketing, Business Consulting, Retail Business Ownership, Real Estate, Insurance, and Airline Operations.

> VINTAGE64TX_STANDARD

This site is not a template. It is a hand-built, zero-dependency static application — and a working demonstration of the engineering philosophy behind every Vintage64TX engagement. No WordPress. No React. No build pipeline. Just precisely written HTML5 and CSS, deployed to a global CDN edge network and hardened at every layer.

ZERO BLOAT ARCHITECTURE: No frameworks to patch, no plugins to break, no databases to exploit. The entire site is pure HTML and CSS — it loads in under a second on any connection, scores at the top of Google PageSpeed, and has an attack surface of essentially zero.

HARDENED DELIVERY: Served via Cloudflare's global edge network with full HTTPS, HTTP/2, and automatic DDoS mitigation baked in — the same infrastructure Fortune 500 companies pay enterprise rates for, running here at near-zero cost.

OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY: Domain registration, CDN hosting, professional email routing, privacy-first analytics, and full SSL — the total annual operating cost for this entire presence runs under $50/year. That's the standard I deliver for clients.

The aesthetic is retro. The architecture is not. Every decision here — from the semantic HTML structure to the structured data in the page head — is made with performance, security, and search visibility in mind. // ORIGIN: v64otd.com  |  OPERATOR: OLD TEXAS DUDE™  |  CLASSIFICATION: UNFILTERED

The work doesn't stop when the client engagement ends. The Watch Tower is the personal field log of the same operator behind Vintage64TX — written without a client brief, without an SEO checklist, and without a filter. It is what happens when a grumpy Texan with 15 years of enterprise scars has something to say about the road, the food, the gear, or the state of the world.

Expect gear that earns its place — or gets sent back. Road recon on Texas highways that TXDOT would rather you not think about. Restaurant reviews with no patience for mediocre brisket. Heritage recipes that don't need a food blogger's lighting setup. And the occasional dispatch when something in the tech world is too broken or too absurd to ignore.

> FAQ

What is the Phoenix Protocol?

A flat-rate $120 Linux migration service that transforms your aging Windows PC into a fast, secure, privacy-respecting machine. Includes data preservation, OS installation, and a hands-on orientation.

Do you serve areas outside Fort Worth?

Yes. Web development and technical consulting are available to clients nationwide. For local hands-on services — Linux migration, PC repair, and security hardening — Vintage64TX serves the greater DFW Metroplex including Fort Worth, Arlington, Haltom City, North Richland Hills, and Tarrant County, and requires in-person equipment drop-off.

Why hire Vintage64TX instead of a big-box repair shop?

Because you get a certified product manager and cloud architect, not a retail technician following a script. Every engagement is treated as a project — with defined scope, clear deliverables, and accountability for outcomes. Geek Squad doesn't offer that. Vintage64TX does.
